Passengers on the Vasco da Gama Nizamuddin-Goa Express were stranded at the Manmad junction due to an unexpected route diversion that led to the train arriving one-and-a-half hours early. The early departure caught unaware passengers off guard, prompting them to demand answers from the station manager. Railway authorities transferred the affected passengers to the Mumbai-Howrah Gitanjali Express to continue their journey. An inquiry into the incident has been initiated, and corrective measures to prevent future incidents are expected.

Forty-five passengers of the Delhi-bound Vasco da Gama Nizamuddin-Goa Express, for no fault of their own, missed their train from the Manmad junction

The affected passengers boarded Gitanjali Express, which was given an unscheduled halt at Manmad, and they travelled to Jalgaon, where the Goa Express was detained till their arrival, the official said

The Central Railway's chief public relations officer Dr Shivraj Manaspure said it was an error on the railway staff's part and an enquiry has been initiated into the incident
