The group of ex-employees wrote to executives, including Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Chief People Officer Fiona Cicconi, three times, most recently on March 9, without receiving a response.
More than 1,400 Googlers signed an open letter to Alphabet's CEO asking for laid-off workers to be considered for open roles.
More than 100 laid off Google employees have formed a group called ‘Laid off on Leave.’ It includes people who were on maternity leave, baby bonding leave, caregiver’s leave, medical leave and personal leave at the time of layoff.
They are requesting that executives compensate them for the weeks and months they were authorised to take off prior to the January job cuts.
