Building on the strong international NATO cooperation as well as strategic bilateral defence ties, the Lithuanian Defence Material Agency signed an agreement with Dutch procurement Agency COMMIT for the acquisition of Thales Ground Master 200 Multi-Mission Compact radars (GM200 MM/C).
The acquisition of radars through an effort between the Netherlands and Lithuania is intended to strengthen security and cooperation.
Produced by the French company Thales, the GM 200 can monitor aircraft from a distance of up to 250 kilometers.
