CORA STAUNTON HAS been included in the 2021 AFLW Team of the year after another impressive campaign with the Greater Western Sydney [GWS] Giants.
The four-time All-Ireland is named among the forwards who made the shortlist, kicking 10.3, 10 goals for her club this year.
Staunton, who first joined the Giants in 2017, has consistently been a standout performer since her move Down Under. She capped off her debut season by picking up the Giants’ Goal of the Year award.

GWS defender Louise Stephenson is extinguishing threats on and off the AFLW field, having spent her pre-season studying to be a firefighter.
Stephenson's dad was a firey and she wanted to follow in his footsteps, but growing up did not believe it was an option for women.
The foundation Giant's eyes were opened when she moved to Sydney. Having completed a 14-week intensive course at Fire and Rescue NSW's academy, Stephenson is now working in the CBD fire station alongside dual international Ruan Sims.

Star Adelaide Crows midfielder Ebony Marinoff has been referred directly to the Tribunal for the front-on contact that fractured the neck of Greater Western Sydney recruit Brid Stack.
Stack was rushed to hospital on Sunday after she was hurt attempting to make a tackle during the fourth quarter of the AFLW practice match at Adelaide's Norwood Oval on Sunday.
Scans confirmed Stack had suffered a stable fracture of the C7 vertebra but no injury to the surrounding nerves.
The 34-year-old from Ireland was discharged from hospital on Sunday night and does not require surgery, but will wear a neck brace in the short-term.
