SUV recovered, driver cooperating in Monday hit run

The Daily Reporter Michigan State Police have recovered the SUV that hit three children in Sherwood Township Monday, and found its driver.  Landen Risner, 13, was airlifted to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, where he remains in critical condition.   The driver, a 42-year-old Sturgis man, is cooperating with the investigation. Tip leads to suspect, vehicle in hit-and-run incident

Sturgis Journal With help from a resident's tip, a 42-year-old Sturgis man was arrested in connection with a hit-and-run crash April 5 in Branch County, Michigan State Police said. Police said the suspect’s vehicle was found Tuesday at a home on Hackman Road near M-66 northeast of Sturgis. The recovered vehicle, a silver 2005 Chevy Equinox, has been impounded.
