The Halasuru Gate Police Station has arrested an accused who deceived over 200 job seekers, posing as a BBMP staffer recruiting Marshals. The culprit promised job placements for a payment of Rs 3,000 and distributed counterfeit recruitment confirmations through WhatsApp to the unsuspecting victims.
A concerned student from a university in Shanthinagar, who frequently travels along this route, said, “Town Hall is a major bus stop for users of the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) who need to switch buses to reach their destination.
It is important to note that this vehicle is his private one and not provided by the state government or the judicial department. While the government is believed to have allocated a vehicle to the honourable retired judge Patil Nagalinganagowda, he has chosen to use his vehicle instead.
