Suspected gas leak at UI residence hall turned out to be false alarm
02/19/21 Alarms went off at a University of Iowa residence hall Wednesday night because of a suspected gas leak. The Daily Iowan reports that the alarms were activated at around 10pm at Catlett Hall. Students were told to evacuate, and had to wait until the source of the suspected leak was located. To stay out of the cold, students were directed to Currier and Burge Halls until the situation was resolved.
