Haryana COVID-19 Guidelines: Haryana Shops To Be Closed From 6 pm On Friday, Non-Essential Gatherings Banned


Coronavirus: Gurgaon, neighbouring Delhi, is among the worst-affected districts in Haryana.

Shops in Haryana will remain closed from 6 pm tomorrow and non-essential gatherings have been banned as the coronavirus crisis grows in the state along with the rest of the country.
"All shops will remain closed from 6 pm onward in Haryana from tomorrow, all non-essential gatherings are banned, anybody holding any function within prescribed limit will have to seek permission from concerned SDM (Sub Divisional Magistrate)," Haryana Home and Health Minister Anil Vij tweeted.
The state, which has witnessed a massive surge in coronavirus infections in recent weeks, had earlier announced summer vacation for all schools from today to May 31.

Amid the rising cases of COVID-19 in the state, the Haryana government has imposed restrictions on gatherings, informed state Home Minister Anil Vij on Sunday evening.
While at most 200 people would be allowed at events indoor, the crowd capacity outdoors has been put at 500. At funerals, a maximum of 50 people would be allowed to attend, the new guidelines stated.
"Keeping in view growing cases of coronavirus, Haryana government has imposed restrictions on gatherings. In indoor, a maximum of 50 percent of the hall capacity will be allowed with a ceiling of 200 persons. In open gatherings, 500 persons will be allowed. For funerals up to only 50 persons will be permitted," Vij tweeted today.
