A wild crocodile in Indonesia who was trapped in a tyre for more than five years has been rescued, freed from its rubber vice and released back into the wild, officials and residents said Tuesday.
The Palu River is home to more than 30 crocodiles, according to experts.
After more than five years, an Indonesian crocodile is finally free. The crocodile was first spotted in 2016 in Palu city on Indonesia’s Sulawesi island with its neck stuck in a motorcycle tire. Every attempt to rescue it failed, until a local resident finally managed to trap it.
