Call it? you did the math. you do the math. i refuse to go along with that. as long as i am president, i never will. i refuse to ask middle-class families to give up their deductions for owning a home or raising their kids just to pay for another millionaire's tax cut. to ask students to pay more for college, or kick children out of headstart programs, to eliminate health insurance for millions of americans who are poor and elderly or disabled, all so those with the most can pay less. i am not going along with that. and i will never -- i will never turn medicare into a voucher.

Are here wouldn't be doing this for the money. they're doing it out of love of children. all of you do it because you know that when it comes to learning and when it comes to growing, this is an absolutely critical period in a child's life. we know that 3 and 4-year-olds who go to high-quality preschools, including our best headstart programs, are less likely to repeat a grade. they're less likely to need special education. they're more likely to graduate from high school than the peers who did not get these services. and so this makes early education one of our best investments in america's f...
