June 10 (Reuters) - LifeStance Health Group Inc’s shares jumped over 11% in their Nasdaq debut on Thursday, giving the therapy provider a market value of nearly $7.5 billion and underscoring demand for mental health services during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Digital health startup Noom raises $540 million in Silver Lake-led funding round

(Reuters) - Digital health platform Noom said on Tuesday it had raised $540 million in a funding round led by buyout firm Silver Lake.
The company did not disclose the valuation at which the funds were raised. But Bloomberg News reported on Monday that the latest funding round valued Noom at $3.7 billion. (bloom.bg/3fGIyNX)
The round included new investors such as Singapore’s Temasek, life sciences-focused investment firm Novo Holdings and healthcare and fintech-focused venture capital firm Oak HC/FT.
Existing investors including Sequoia Capital, RRE Ventures and Samsung Ventures, the investment arm of Samsung Group, also participated in the raise.

Financials, industrials boost Sri Lanka stocks

May 12 (Reuters) - Sri Lankan shares closed higher for a second consecutive day on Wednesday, helped by gains in financials, industrials and consumer staples stocks.
* The CSE All-Share Index rose 0.26% to end at 7,161.77. It has climbed 5.72% this year.
* Conglomerate John Keells Holding and food retailer Cargills (Ceylon) Plc were among the top boosts to the index, gaining 1.30% and 3.77%, respectively.
* Separately, Sri Lanka, which is battling a third wave of the coronavirus infections, said it had imposed an island-wide total lockdown from Thursday night to Monday morning.
* Sri Lanka is now reporting more than 1,900 new infections each day. The South Asian island nation last month had imposed curbs on public gatherings.

Synlab aims for market capitalisation of up to 5 bln euros in planned IPO

BERLIN, April 19 (Reuters) - Laboratory services group Synlab on Monday set the price range for its planned initial public offering at 18 euros to 23 euros ($21.54 - $27.52) per share, implying a total market capitalisation of up to 5 billion euros.
Synlab said it will offer up to 71.5 million ordinary shares, leading to a total IPO size of up to 1.48 billion euros.
It said it aimed to raise 400 million euros from the offering of new shares that will be used to repay part of its outstanding debt. The rest of will go to shareholders Cinven , Novo Holdings and the Canadian teacher pension fund OTPP.

Bulgaria COVID-19 hospitalisations jump to record high

SOFIA, March 21 (Reuters) - The number of coronavirus patients in Bulgarian hospitals has risen to 8,545, the highest level since the start of the pandemic last March, official health data showed on Sunday.
A surge in infections in the third COVID wave has prompted the Bulgarian government to close schools, nurseries, restaurants, big shops and gyms from Monday for 10 days ahead of the April 4 parliamentary election.
