Heatwave in India: According to the forecast issued by the Met department on Monday afternoon, heatwave conditions are likely over isolated pockets of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Sikkim, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.
"Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and light to moderate spells of rain with gusty winds reaching 30-40 kmph are very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Dhule and Nandurbar during the next 3-4 hours," IMD Mumbai.
