A variable resolution climate simulation performed at the NCAR-Wyoming Supercomputing Center shows a landfalling hurricane. Using powerful supercomputers, scientists can run models such as the NCAR-based Community Earth System Model to study the impacts of climate change on large-scale weather events. Amazon offer to aid Biden administration with coronavirus vaccine distribution irks Republicans


Moments after Mr. Biden‘s inauguration on Wednesday, Amazon publicized a letter it sent to the new president that said it “stands ready to assist” the incoming Democratic administration to get vaccines to people in need.
“We are prepared to move quickly once vaccines are available,” Dave Clark, chief executive of the company’s consumer business, wrote in the letter. “Additionally, we are prepared to leverage our operations, information technology, and communications capabilities and expertise to assist your administration’s vaccination efforts.
