state transport department has made modifications and changes in 49 nitrogen tankers and made them usable to carry oxygen. They are planning a total of 90 nitrogen tankers to be converted.
State transport commissioner Avinash Dhakne said that his department was helping with the logistics and the conversion of the remaining tankers will happen soon. Besides this, the state has kept ready 183 tankers exclusively for oxygen transportation.
Dhakne said that 55 nitrogen tankers have been flushed and converted for use of oxygen transportation at various plants around Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur. We want to convert a total of 90 tankers, he said.

Mumbai: As the second phase of the
coronavirus vaccination drive began in
Mumbai on Monday, beneficiaries had to face several inconveniences related to the CoWIN portal and many were even asked to return home at the
Mulund Jumbo Centre.
Citizens above 60 years of age and those above 45 with co-morbidities are eligible to get inoculated during the second phase. They were asked to get themselves registered in advance on the Centre's CoWIN 2.0 portal, however, several people complained that their names did not show up on the portal at the Centre even after registering.
