As the number of COVID-19 cases is on a rise in India, the government started the third phase of getting vaccination from April 1, 2021. To register for COVID vaccine, you will need an active mobile number along with a photo ID proof like Aadhaar card or Driving license, etc. One can simply head to the “www.cowin.gov.in” website or Aarogya Setu app to register for the vaccine. To keep up the tempo of vaccination against COVID-19 in the country's immunisation drive, the government has decided to allow a walk-in option to the beneficiaries.

The government rolled out the second phase of the inoculation drive extending it to senior citizens and people aged 45 and over with co-morbidities.
The Covid-19 Vaccine Intelligence Network (Co-WIN) platform faced glitches in registering beneficiaries on Monday
That has created a problem for beneficiaries as well as administrators of vaccines against coronavirus, as the platform had been especially designed to drive the coronavirus immunisation programme in the country.

The second phase of coronavirus vaccination begins in India from March 1, 2021. PM Narendra Modi is the first one today to get the dose of COVID-19 vaccine at AIIMS, New Delhi. PM took to Twitter to announce the same. The vaccination for coronavirus has primarily begun for senior citizens with age above 60 years and those who are above 45 years of age suffering from co-morbidities. The government of India released the Co-WIN app a few months ago but users reported several glitches on the application. As per several media reports, the Indian government will release the Co-WIN app 2.0 version on March 1, 9am. You will be able to download the Co-WIN app 2.0 from Google Play store on your Android device. iOS availability hasn’t been revealed yet.
