Veteran music composer Shravan Rathod of Nadeem-Shravan duo died of Covid-19 related complications on April 22. The entire industry has been in shock hearing the composer's untimely death. He had visited the Kumbh Mela in Haridwar before testing positive for coronavirus. Udit Narayan, who collaborated with Nadeem-Shravan on several projects, revealed that the late composer called him from the Kumbh.

MUMBAI, April 23 — Tributes poured in today for popular Bollywood music composer Shravan Rathod, who died in a Mumbai hospital aged 66 after being diagnosed with Covid-19.
Rathod worked with fellow composer Nadeem Saifi to create some of Bollywood’s most enduring hits of the 1990s, with the duo winning multiple awards for their soundtracks during the decade.

Shravan Rathod music composer duo Nadeem-Shravan breathed his last yesterday. He had been put on a ventilator after contracting COVID and complaining of breathlessness. He died due to multiple organ failure. Now, his son Sanjeev has revealed that the musician contracted the deadly virus after visiting the Kumbh Mela.
Talking to Indian Express, Sanjeev Rathod revealed that the the musician and his wife had visited Kumbh Mela a few days back. It was after they returned from the mela that Shravan Rathod complained of breathlessness. He then got himself tested for COVID-19 and the reports came positive. The entire family has actually tested positive and now Shravan's elder son and his wife would not even be able to see him for one last time. Sanjeev said, “We had never thought our family would have to go through such tough times, my father passed away, I am Covid positive and so is my mother. My brother is also positive and is in home isolation, but since our father has died, he is being allowed to do the final procedures to do last rites for our father.” He also added that his mother, who is also admitted to Seven Hills and in on the bed next to him, is inconsolable.

Coronavirus cases are on a rise and while some people, including a few celebs are not getting affected but others are getting affected badly. Composer duo Nedeem-Shravan's Shravan Rathode had been hospitalised after contracting COVID. Now, he is in a critical condition and has been kept on ventilator support.
The news has been confirmed by both Shravan Rathode's son, Sanjeev Rathod. Talking to Indian Express, he said, “Yes, he tested positive for Covid-19 and is admitted to SL Raheja hospital in Mahim, he is very critical as he has other comorbidities also. Please pray for him.”
