Agriculture and Food Minister Igor Brylo met with top management of the state-owned company China Cold Chain Industry Investment Group. The participants of the meeting discussed a possibility to ramp up the supply of frozen beef and poultry meat to China.
“Export of food products and agricultural raw materials increased by 24.2% to $8.3 billion in 2022, up $1.6 billion. Foreign trade surplus made up $3.4 billion, up $1.3 billion or 59% from 2021. Food products and agricultural raw materials amounted to 22% of Belarus' total exports. In 2023, we plan to export at least $8.5 billion worth of agricultural products, and we will do our best to exceed the level,” said Igor Brylo.

The head of state pointed out that the ministry and the government did not thoroughly work out the details of proposed mergers, and most importantly, whether benefits and preferences should be the same for state-run enterprises that take over agricultural organizations.
