26 April–2 May 2021 European Immunization Week (EIW) is celebrated across the WHO European Region each year to raise awareness of the importance of immunization. In 2021, as well as promoting routine immunization, EIW will take into account the new vaccines for COVID-19. This year’s campaign will build solidarity and trust in vaccination as a public good that underpins our society, saves lives and protects health. Following an unprecedented year for WHO in 2020, WHO/Europe looks ahead to 2021 with a focus on the continuing COVID-19 pandemic alongside the implementation of the European Programme of Work.
