A jury convicted former Minneapolis police officer, Derek Chauvin, in the murder of George Floyd. It really shouldn’t have been than historic.
There was overwhelming evidence, cell phone video recordings from bystanders and numerous body camera videos worn by officers on the scene.
There was testimony from numerous experts who described exactly how Mr. Floyd was killed. It was as close as you could come to an open and shut case.

This virtual professional development program is offered in partnership with the University of Southern Maine’s Office of Student Engagement and Leadership. NAUGATUCK, CT Two independent investigation into the racist social media posts by the daughter of Naugatuck Police Chief Steven Hunt has cleared the chief of any wrongdoing, the department announced Friday.
A 43-page report by the Rocky Hill-based law firm Karsten & Tallberg, LLC, and another report by Hartford-based law firm Michelson, Kane, Royster & Barger, P.C., both conclude that Hunt did not previously know of the racist messages, nor did he do anything in the capacity of his job to facilitate them. ....
