China imported 45,300 mt of refined zinc in June, up 153.06% on the month and 1,796.03% on the year. The imports totalled 98,300 mt in the first half of 2023, up 100.53% YoY.
According to Customs data, China’s zinc concentrate imports in June 2023 were 390,600 mt (physical content), an increase of 13.49% month-on-month, and a year-on-year increase of 33.16%. YTD import volume of zinc concentrate through June was 2.2782 million mt (physical content), an increase of 25.36% year-on-year.
Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), the world’s largest aluminium smelter outside China, has announced its Q2 results for 2023, disclosing 405,628 tonnes of production, up by 9,085 tonnes from Q2 2022.
