Amazonia-1 is the first Earth Observation satellite to be completely designed, integrated, tested and operated by Brazil and launched into orbit by India's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C51).
ISRO launches EOS01 and 9 customer satellites from Satish Dhawan Space Centre,Sriharikota.
On the day India celebrates National Science Day, another historic moment was recorded for the country. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Sunday successfully placed Amazonia-1 Earth Observer satellite in orbit through PSLV-C51 from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota. The launch took place as per schedule at 10:24 a.m.

In a parting shot against China and Russia, US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo on Tuesday (local time) claimed that India and Brazil have understood that Beijing and Moscow are threats to their people.
"Remember BRICS? Well, thanks to @jairbolsonaro and @narendramodi the B and the I both get that the C and the R are threats to their people," Pompeo tweeted.
Pompeo made the remarks in his parting tweets as US secretary of state. On Wednesday, President-elect Joe Biden will be sworn-in as US President.
