IndiGo said in a statement that the incident took place on its Istanbul-Delhi flight.

In an email sent to one such technician who took sick leave on July 10, IndiGo said that such an absence without any prior notice impacts the operations of the airline.

Initial speculations that over 50% of IndiGo staff may have taken leave over the weekend to attend a walk-in-interview by the national carrier, Air India were dismissed by AI as they claimed to have hosted no such interview on the day. "A baby girl was born mid-air on board flight 6E 469 from Bangalore to Jaipur.
