Met department has forecast that the city will continue to witness light showers as chances of heavy rain are bleak for the next four-five days.
The city recorded only 0.1 mm of rainfall on Thursday and did not receive many showers in the past two days, even though the Met officials were expecting moderate-to-heavy rainfall.
Central and eastern parts of the city received 23 mm of rainfall while the western part received only 9.8 mm of rainfall throughout the day.
The city recorded 44.5 mm rainfall throughout the day with which the total rainfall of the season has reached 110.1 mm (4.33 inches), so far.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted respite from the heat for Indore from June 15 onwards, with the coming of monsoons. The department also predicted pre-monsoon drizzles to reach the city by June 10.
