Inion Software aims to provide businesses and organizations with tools and solutions that will enable them to benefit from more efficient use of solar power plants and, in so doing, generate more green electricity. According to Dr. Šarūnas Stanaitis, one of the co-founders, this collaboration is a particularly beneficial one for both sides, for it helps to share innovations while at the same time promoting technologies that allow for improved solar energy monitoring.

Considering that the equipment for renewable energy producers that this company produces is famous both in Lithuania and abroad, such a rapid growth really should not come as that much of a surprise.

„We have developed a tool that predicts how much energy a particular solar power plant or park will produce in the future. This is something that should be considered relevant with large fleets and small producers – if we predict that your solar power plant will produce X amount of energy but it produces Y amount – and in most cases it will be less than predicted – then the business needs to find out why this happened and pay a fine for difference.

„This is the first project in Latvia in which Inion Software equipment and software has been used. We hope that, with the eventual benefit of positive feedback, our system will soon be more commonly seen in other solar parks in Latvia,“ says the company's CEO, Šarūnas Stanaitis.

According to Litgrid, Lithuanian electricity transmission system operator, when the Baltic balancing market begins to operate in 2025, up to 1,512 MW of electricity capacity will be ordered.
