In a significant move aimed at enhancing the safety and security of citizens, with a particular focus on women, children, and the elderly in Uttar Pradesh, the Urban Development Department, in collaboration with the Home Department, has successfully set up a network of 100,000 CCTV cameras. “ICCC has so far integrated only BBMP, BMRCL, and BWSSB. The rest of the agencies are still not unified with the platform. Many of these do not have independent online grievance redress mechanisms, thus highlighting an issue has always been a problem,” said a citizen.
