Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives on Saturday won at the polling unit of Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, who belongs to the Peoples Democratic Party. At the polling unit, APC got 104 votes while PDP, whose presidential candidate is Atiku Abubakar, got 27 votes.  Peter Obi of the Labour Party got 82 votes. Makinde and some other PDP governors, known as G-5 Governors or Integrity Group have been at loggerheads with Atiku since he won the presidential primary election of the party.

The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party says it will deal with the alleged anti-party activities of Governor Nyesom Wike-led group of five governors after the general elections. The governors who pulled out of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council last year, also include Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State and Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State.
