Sake Express reopens Gastonia dining room after extensive renovation
A Gaston County staple for Japanese hibachi dishes and sushi recently reopened its renovated dining room after closing it nearly a year ago. Sake Express Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi could have reopened its Gastonia dining room in May 2020, when Gov. Roy Cooper lifted some COVID-19 restrictions on restaurants, but owners Linda and Lisa Nguyen felt there was more to be done to slow the spread of the virus.
