The Officer-in-Charge of Rockhampton Station, Senior Sergeant Hanlen has found that her strength lies in working with people, which is an ideal skill to have when you are the boss of around 50 police officers and 10 administrative staff in a busy regional centre.
It was almost by chance that Senior Sergeant Hanlen even came to policing. Unhappy with her choice of teaching as a career, she was 18-years-old and at a loose end when a family member challenged her to give policing a go.
An event she experienced during the application process convinced her she'd found the right path.

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha announced super-75 scholarship schemes for meritorious girls. The scholarship scheme was announced on the occasion of International Women's Day 2021 on March 8.

On International Women's Day, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha announced the launch of Super-75 scholarship scheme to support the education of meritorious girls from poor families, so that they can excel in streams like medicine, engineering, ITI (Industrial training institutes) and humanity and contribute to nation-building.
This is keeping in view of this year's theme of International Women's Day i.e "Choose to Challenge" and to celebrate Azaadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav- India@75.

As her feminist anthem I Am Woman rings out around the world today on International Women's Day, Helen Reddy's profound musical and activist legacy is back in the spotlight.
Australia's songwriting community chose this day to announce Reddy would be posthumously honoured at the 2021 APRA Awards next month with the prestigious Ted Albert Award for Outstanding Services to Australian Music.
Think of it as a lifetime achievement award, the Music Olympics medal decades in the making.
Reddy was meant to receive it last year but the advent of COVID-19 forced the 2020 APRAs into a truncated virtual ceremony.
