The ban on mobile internet/data services in the territorial jurisdiction of entire Manipur has been extended for five more days till 7.45 pm of November 5.
Internet ban extended for another five days despite public outcry.
All government offices in Naga areas of Tamenglong were picketed on Tuesday by volunteers of All Naga Students’ Association, Manipur (ANSAM) in demand for lifting of ban on mobile internet.
“Lifting the order only for few broadband users and government offices for administrative purposes with exorbitant rate does not provide a solution to the necessities in times of urgency and cannot be a justification to its proportionality of the ongoing violence and prevailing situation,” the ANSAM stated.
Manipur government has extended the ban on internet services for another five days, i.e., till 7.45 pm of October 21, 2023.
