Cineuropa: You launched OuiCoprod this morning in Cannes, why this platform and who is it for?
Enrico Chiesa, Isabelle Fauvel and Dieudonné Alaka: African and Caribbean films and series have been piercing through in festivals and on platforms for the past 3 to 4 years. Many producers, agents, television channels, funds etc. are today looking for projects from these regions and don’t know where to find them. At Fonds Images de la Francophonie (the OIF fund), we receive 4 to 500 projects per year and OuiCoprod aims to offer to professionals from Europe, America and the Middle East a selection of its best projects from Africa, the Caribbean, and the Pacific. These are therefore projects that have gone through a strict selection process, and which aren’t coming empty handed because they’ve usually received financing from the OIF, the EU, the ACP and sometimes from their national funds.

thCyprus Film Days International Festival, the official competitive festival of Cyprus, is gearing up for its upcoming edition, which is planned to run with the physical presence of the audience from 16-24 April (see the news). The second edition of Dot.on.the.map Industry Days, the co-production, training and networking platform that constitutes an integral part of the festival, will be held online from 21-23 April.

Danae Stylianou, head of Dot.on.the.map, mentioned: “Dot.on.the.map Industry Days launched its inaugural edition amidst the start of the pandemic in 2020. One year later, and against all odds, we find ourselves in the same ‘virtual’ position: going digital remains the only way to continue bringing film professionals together and discovering new projects in development. At the same time, the digital world knows no physical borders or boundaries. Industry professionals from near and afar, from across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, are joining us for this exciting, virtual second edition! Dot.on.the.map is becoming a connecting force, and our goal remains to encourage co-productions and cross-border collaboration, while putting Mediterranean talent in the spotlight.”

Dot.on.the.map Industry Days announces SELECTED PROJECTS for its second online edition


In the framework of the 19th Cyprus Film Days International Festival 2021
and in partnership with Thessaloniki International Film Festival Agora
Dot on the Μap Industry Days, the co-production, training and networking platform within Cyprus Film Days IFF will be held online between 21-23 April 2021, and announces this year’s selected feature fiction film projects to be pitched at its co-production forum-Dot on the Map Meeting Point.
Dot on the Map Industry Days is organised by the Cyprus Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport and Youth and the Rialto Theatre in partnership with Thessaloniki International Film Festival Agora. It is supported by the Directors Guild of Cyprus.
