Most certainly has. you mentioned those tar balls. they are officially here in lake ponchartrain. i wasn't able yet this morning to grab a tar ball to show you. as they have been described to me, they are somewhere between the size of possibly a marble to as big as say this rock. they are highly weathered. they don't really smell. they can kind of smear in your hand as you are about to see. it is significant, because this is the farthest inland we have now seen any evidence of this oil. it is not a huge amount. estimates put it somewhere in the 100 barrel range. imagine for fishermen that love...
