The Tompkins County Health Department is alerting the public of two potential COVID-19 exposures. The Health Department received notification of an individual who tested positive for COVID-19 and worked at the Lansing Tops Markets Bakery during the time when they could have infected others. Another individual who tested positive rode on TCAT Routes 14 and 30 during the time when they could have infected others. Photo: WHCU ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – The Covid-19 Sampling Site at the Shops at Ithaca Mall parking lot will be closed Thursday due to the winter storm. The new sampling site downtown on Tioga Street will remain open, and both sites will be hosting extra hours this weekend to make up for the closure. Saturday and Sunday’s hours run 8 AM to 4 PM. ITHACA, NY -- The Tompkins County Health Department announced that a fifth resident at Oak Hill Manor Nursing Home has died due to COVID-19. The facility has been dealing with an outbreak for the past couple weeks that began with 39 residents and 13 staff members testing positive for the disease at the end of November.
