After serving three terms in the Michigan House of Representatives, Bellino will now serve the counties of Lenawee, Monroe and Hillsdale as a state senator.

Joe Bellino Jr. of Monroe was ceremonially sworn in for his first term representing Michigan’s 16th Senate District, which includes most of Monroe, Lenawee and Hillsdale Counties.

A toast and roast to celebrate the retirement of the Honorable Jack Vitale was held Thursday, Dec 15 at the Monroe County Courthouse, 106 E. First Street.

The six-year term as Monroe County District Court judge had opened up due to age limits reached by Judge Jack Vitale.
