Johor temple going online for Thaipusam

JOHOR BARU: The Sri Subramaniar Temple, one of the oldest Hindu temples in Johor, is going online for Thaipusam due to the movement control order.
Temple committee chairman K. Arumugam said the temple located in Jalan Dato Esa, Tampoi, would livestream the milk offering to Lord Murugan and special prayers led by the chief priest.
“The temple committee has decided to stream the special prayers via our Facebook page, Sri Subramaniar Temple Tampoi.
“This is the first time in our long history that we will use such a platform to mark Thaipusam, ” he said yesterday.
Prayers will be held at four different times – 4.30am, 7am, 11am and 7pm – during Thaipusam.
