After a search for the body of 17-year-old Zion Foster of Eastpointe at a Macomb County landfill lasting five months has ended, Detroit police say they will have another update on Friday.
MACOMB COUNTY — After months of digging through a Lenox Township landfill, the search for the body of a missing Eastpointe teenager has come to a close.
Operation Zion launched in May after police learned her body likely was dumped in a trash bin and emptied in Pine Tree Acres Landfill in Lenox Twp.
Detroit Police have called off the search for Zion Foster, the 19-year-old who disappeared in January and is believed to have been killed by her cousin.
Searching got underway on May 31st and was expected to take six to eight weeks, but now financial support is running low to keep this mission going.
