A grieving family is outraged that the man accused in a double killing in Chilliwack last week is being released on bail.
Family of the victims of last week’s killings in a Chilliwack mobile home park are expressing deep disappointment that the man accused of the slayings has been granted bail.
Police are now also identifying the suspect as Robert Freeman, 83, of Chilliwack. He has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder.
Investigators have identified the victims as 58-year-old John Kavaloff and 67-year-old Valerie Smith in hopes of advancing their investigation.
