Over 60 gunmen have invaded two villages in Tungan Bako and Kawo, Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State and abducted 100 villagers.
It was learnt that the attacks occurred at night on Thursday, forcing all the villagers to desert the community.
The incident occurred on Monday at about 4:00pm when the Joint Security Task Force comprising of police and local vigilantes were on a routine patrol of the area.
The Niger Police Command has confirmed the killing of three of its men and two local vigilantes in an ambush by gunmen in Kwanan Dutse.
