Moe, Nachbaur and Paddock wrap up WHL careers
The strangest season in Prince Albert Raiders history concluded on Wednesday night with one of the most bizarre contests the team has ever taken part in.
With the team holding a 5-3 lead over the Swift Current Broncos at the 8:01 mark of the third period, Raiders netminder Max Paddock was given a snow shower by Broncos forward Josh Davies and proceeded to pummel him in the face as both players were down in the crease during a post-whistle scrum.
As a result of the play, Davies was given a two-minute minor for unsportsmanlike conduct, but Paddock was given a five-minute match penalty and a game misconduct for what the officials deemed as an attempt to injure.

Wednesday was the end of an almost 2 month run in the Western Hockey League’s East Division hub in Regina, but it also spelled the completion of the WHL career of Foam Lake’s Kaleb Bulych.
Bulych and the Swift Current Broncos’ wrapped up their 24 game abbreviated schedule last night (Wed) with an overtime loss to the Prince Albert Raiders.
“It’s been pretty surreal right now, but I’m super grateful for time in the WHL. Not a lot of players get to spend a lot of time in that high-level league like I did so I’m happy to have had the opportunity to improved myself as a player and person,” Bulych said.

The Prince Albert Raiders found out firsthand why the Winnipeg Ice have one of the best offences in the Western Hockey League during the shortened 2020-21 campaign.
In the penultimate game for both sides in the East Division hub at the Brandt Centre, the Raiders saw a 3-1 third period lead with 11 minutes to go disappear as the Ice scored a trifecta of goals in a nearly six-minute stretch on their way to a 4-3 triumph.

Sask. brothers reflect on unique time playing for the Swift Current Broncos

Brothers Kaleb and Aiden Bulych are suiting up together in the WHL.
“Doesn’t happen very often where two brothers get to play in the same league, let alone the same team,” Aiden, the younger of the two siblings, said.
Aiden was drafted by the Prince Albert Raiders in 2016, while older brother Kaleb was selected by the Vancouver Giants in the second round in 2015. However, they spent a large portion of their junior hockey careers in different leagues, as Aiden started with the Yorkton Terriers in the SJHL.
The two were born 22 months apart, so they played together on minor league teams every other year growing up in Foam Lake.

Broncos announce leadership group for 2020-21 season
March 13, 2021
The Swift Current Broncos announced their leadership group for the 2020-21 season today, involving five players wearing A’s on their jerseys, and no official team captain.
The decision not to name a permanent captain was made to honour the late Colby Cave, who served as the Broncos team captain for the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons.
2001-born forward Aiden Bulych will have an A on his jersey for all 24 games this season while 2000-born defenceman Kaleb Bulych and 2000-born forward Michael Farren will have them when the Broncos are the designated home team. For designated road games, 2001-born forward Eric Houk and 2000-born defenceman Owen Williams will wear A’s.
