Gang of phone thieves nabbed by Bengaluru cops

The cops learnt that the gang comprised five people including three juveniles. They used to target truck drivers who park their lorries and sleep on the Ring Road on the stretch near Rajkumar Samadhi.

A visiting doctor at a private hospital was asked to not report for duty as he had failed to inform the medical director about a patient’s medical history. As a result, the doctor turned up at the hospital with some associates and began to harass the staff.

A 27-year-old man was murdered by his brother-in-law and relatives of his wife a day before his
birthday in front of his house in
Laggere on Tuesday. His wife’s family had called him under the pretext of wishing him.
The deceased has been identified as N Chetan, a resident of Laggere and an electrician. Chetan was married to Bhumika, from Kunigal in Tumkuru, just two months ago. The police have detained the suspects, Bhumika’s younger brother Akash Kumar, 19, a cab driver, her uncle, Nanjesh, 58, an assistant in a hotel and her first cousin, Dilip, 20, a flower vendor. Police said that Bhumika was in love with Chetan but her parents did not approve of their marriage.
