Delhi vaccinated over 1.28 lakh people against coronavirus on Saturday, AAP MLA Atishi said on Sunday.
She said Delhi currently has 4.65 lakh doses of coronavirus vaccines available for those above 45, and healthcare and frontline workers, while 2.74 lakh doses are available for the 18-44 age category.
She said Delhi has so far received 5.5 lakh doses of coronavirus vaccines for the 18-44 category, and over 43 lakh doses for 45-plus, and healthcare and frontline workers.

GUWAHATI: Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday appealed to all eligible people to get themselves vaccinated saying that the state has a vaccine stock of over five lakh doses and another one lakh is expected to arrive soon.
Earlier, the state health department had to rationalize the vaccination programme after stocks started dwindling in the absence of arrival of more vaccine doses. On Tuesday, the vaccine stock was about 1.4 lakh.
Amid reports of shortage in vaccines in the state, Sarma on Friday tweeted, “As of now, we have the following stocks: 1.Covishield ~ 3.25 lakh dose 2.Covaxin ~ 2 lakh dose Another batch of about one lakh Covaxin dose will arrive in a day or two. I request everyone eligible to please go in for your vaccination.”

As 45+ line up for jabs, centres to function even on holidays in April | India News

NEW DELHI: As Covid-19 vaccination opened for all those above 45 years on Thursday, the Centre asked states to ramp up inoculation in the wake of surge in infection that is posing a threat to gains of the previous downturn in cases and the nascent economic recovery.
Around 22.9 lakh doses were administered through 56,390 vaccination sessions across public and private hospitals on Thursday till about 10:30pm, according to the latest data reviewed by TOI.
As per the earlier statement by the health ministry, 17.47 lakh doses were administered till 8pm on Thursday. Of this, 15.28 lakh doses were given to those above 45.
Looking to expand coverage, the Centre has decided to operationalise both public and private sector Covid Vaccination Centres (CVCs) on all days of the month in April (from today till April 30), including gazetted holidays.

India supplied 229.7 lakh Covid-19 vaccine doses to global community: MEA | India News

NEW DELHI: India has supplied a total of 229.7 lakh doses of coronavirus vaccine to the global community so far, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said on Friday.
"As of date, we have supplied a total of 229.7 lakh doses to the global community. Of these, 64.7 lakh doses have been supplied as a grant while 165 lakh doses have been supplied on a commercial basis," said MEA Spokesperson Anurag Srivastava.
When asked which countries are expected to get the vaccine doses in the coming days. Srivastava said that New Delhi expects to supply vaccine to more countries in Africa, Latin America, and the Pacific island states.
