After having its license suspended late last year following numerous complaints, Grass Valley’s 1849 Brewing Co. will now be allowed to expand its hours and its beer garden. On Tuesday the Grass Valley Planning Commission approved a use permit amendment allowing the bar to stay open an extra hour. Its new hours will be 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Fans of Frostys and square burgers will be able to get their Baconator fix in Grass Valley. The Grass Valley Planning Commission on Tuesday voted unanimously to approve development of a Wendy’s drive-thru restaurant at 875 Sutton Way. The fast food chain will demolish and replace the building that is now Paulette’s Country Kitchen, reducing the size and adding 250 feet of outdoor eating space. By John Orona | Staff Writer The Grass Valley Planning Commission will decide Tuesday whether a Wendy’s drive-thru restaurant will be coming to the Glenbrook Basin. The proposed fast food chain development at 875 Sutton Way would replace the building that is currently Paulette’s Country Kitchen. The developer’s plan would demolish the 3,600-square-foot building in order to replace the drive-thru, bring the building up to code, and reduce the size to 2,400 square feet with 250 feet of outdoor eating space.
