PORT Klang is the main gateway by sea into Malaysia. Known during colonial times as Port Swettenham, it was renamed Port Klang in July 1972, and remains the largest port in the country. Located about 6km southwest of the town of Klang, and 38km southwest of Kuala Lumpur, Port Klang currently consists of the Northport, Westport, and South Point (or the original part of Port Klang that was formerly called South Port).
