  LETHBRIDGE -- It's been nearly three weeks since Lethbridge Fire Department's newest recruits started their training. The LFD is hoping this fresh batch of hopeful firefighters will help fill an urgent need in the department. Collision sends pedestrian to hospital Poll Yes By Lethbridge Police Service on March 3, 2021. Lethbridge Police are investigating a motor vehicle-pedestrian collision that occurred on March 1 which sent a 35-year-old woman to hospital with serious injuries. Police arrived at the scene of the collision at 10 Avenue and Mayor Magrath Drive South just after 9 p.m.  The pedestrian, who was crossing Mayor Magrath Drive when struck by a northbound vehicle, was taken to Chinook Regional Hospital.
