WATERTOWN, MA — Roche Bros. opened its first Watertown store today, settling into a spot in Arsenal Yards.
The grocery store—which called on shoppers to try its espresso, flatbreads, fruits and smoothies—has locations across Massachusetts, including Downtown Crossing, Cambridge and Waltham.
"Our expansion into Watertown at Arsenal Yards delivers our vision of bringing an innovative food shopping experience into local neighborhoods. This store combines the variety and first-rate shopping experience of Roche Bros., with the innovation and product assortment of Brothers Marketplace," said Linda SanGiacomo, vice president of Marketing for Roche Bros. in a release.

WATERTOWN, Mass., April 9, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Roche Bros., the locally-owned and family-operated grocer, today announced it is open for business in the thriving Watertown neighborhood of Arsenal Yards. The new grocery store, located at 96 Arsenal Yards Blvd., marks the first Roche Bros. location in Watertown. The premium, full-service marketplace offers high-quality meat, seafood and produce, ready-to-eat prepared foods, locally sourced grocery items, national grocery favorites, catering, and home delivery to guests and residents of Arsenal Yards and the greater Watertown community.
For its grand opening on April 9th, Roche Bros. owner Rick Roche will be cutting the ribbon alongside local officials at 11:00am ET; the ribbon cutting will be streamed live on Roche Bros. and Arsenal Yards Facebook and Instagram feeds. The first 250 customers through the doors will receive gift bags sampling goods sold throughout the store. Customers can also enter a sweepstakes to win a Roche Bros. gift basket, a YETI cooler, sponsored by Hint Water, or a paddleboard, sponsored by 88 Acres.

Massachusetts grocer Roche Bros. today opened a 24,000-square-foot supermarket at the Arsenal Yards mixed-use development in Watertown.
Roche Bros. owner Rick Roche cut the ribbon for the Arsenal Yards store on Friday with local officials. Situated at 96 Arsenal Yards Blvd., the new store represents the first Roche Bros. location in Watertown. The upscale supermarket offers high-quality meat, seafood and produce, ready-to-eat prepared foods, locally sourced grocery items, national grocery favorites, catering, and home delivery to customers and residents of Arsenal Yards and the greater Watertown community.
Mansfield, Mass.-based Roche Bros. — which now operates 22 grocery stores under the Roche Bros., Sudbury Farms and Brothers Marketplace banners — is known for its perishables, including fresh produce, meat, seafood, prepared foods, baked goods and artisan cheeses. The Watertown store houses the “Chop Shop,” offering smoothies, cut fruits and vegetables; the “Cheese Shop,” featuring artisan cheese and charcuterie boards; a prepared foods section, including made-to-order sandwiches, in the deli; and a flatbread pizza bar with grab-and-go and made-to-order pizza. Also at the store are an R.B. Roasters Café, serving espresso drinks and locally roasted coffee, with indoor and outdoor seating plus an outdoor seasonal produce market.

For the store’s April 9 grand opening, following a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring Roche Bros. owner Rick Roche, the first 250 customers will receive gift bags containing goods sold throughout the store. Customers can also take part in a sweepstakes to win a Roche Bros. gift basket, a YETI cooler sponsored by Hint Water, or a paddleboard sponsored by 88 Acres.
