Taipei, Jan. 12 (CNA) Zhubei City in Hsinchu County recorded Taiwan's highest growth in absolute population over the past five years, while the highest rate of growth occurred in Lienchiang County's Beigan Township, according to statistics released this week by the Ministry of the Interior (MOI).

Taipei, Nov. 19 (CNA) Netherlands-based ASML Holding N.V., a leading global supplier of semiconductor production equipment, which plans to build a new plant in New Taipei, is offering NT$1.6 million (US$51,331) or higher in starting annual pay to qualified engineers with a master's degree.
