RIYADH: An official Saudi delegation headed by the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Al-Khorayef, is set to visit Australia next week to introduce investment opportunities in the Kingdom’s mining sector, under the umbrella of “Invest in Saudi Arabia,” Saudi Press Agency reported on Saturday.
Last week, Saudi Arabia released its National Industrial Strategy, which charts a path toward greater diversification of the economy, away from dependency on the extraction and export of crude oil. It also is a key tool to maintain the Kingdom’s regional and global role as a key geopolitical player.
The Saudi delegation’s visit to Spain included the third meeting of the SSJC, the Saudi-Spanish Business Forum, and the Saudi-Spanish Business Council, as well as a range of bilateral meetings, which saw the participation of more than 50 entities from Saudi’s public and private sectors.
