New housing development in Port Elgin to include affordable secondary units
A new development in Port Elgin will see more affordable housing units in the area. Saugeen Shores Council passed two by-laws last Monday that would see Lord Elgin Estates Developments build 60 new townhouse units on it Summerside subdivision. Vice-Deputy Mayor Mike Myatt says the developer is designing 22 of the townhomes to have secondary suites. Myatt says affordable and attainable housing remains a high priority and these units should help those looking for a place to stay in town.
