CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The NFL is in the midst of a feeding frenzy in terms of trading for established quarterbacks.
The Detroit Lions swapped Matthew Stafford for the Los Angeles Rams' Jared Goff, a pair of future first-round picks and a third-rounder this year, and the Philadelphia Eagles traded Carson Wentz to the Indianapolis Colts for a third-round pick this year and a conditional 2022 second-round pick that could turn into a first-rounder.

Green Bay Packers fans are nothing if not loyal. Ahead of the team's NFC playoff matchup against the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday, Jan. 16, Green Bay opened up 6,000 tickets to season ticket holders for the first time this season, which sold out in just three hours, as reported by Wisconsin Public Radio. The Packers will be led in part by quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who at 37 years old has 16 years of experience in the NFL and two MVPs, all with the Packers.

Miami (8-4) has evolved from the NFL's worst-scoring defense in 2019 to the NFL's No. 2 scoring defense in 2020 (0.1 points behind the top-ranked Pittsburgh Steelers). But on Sunday, the Dolphins will face perhaps their biggest challenge yet in the coach Brian Flores era when Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs come to town (1 p.m. ET, CBS).
"This is really going to test us to see how good we are as a defense," Dolphins safety Eric Rowe said.
Fellow safety Bobby McCain added: "We know they've got really good players. So do we."
With all the attention on the Chiefs' offense, the Dolphins' defense isn't a pushover. It's a respect game. Cornerback Xavien Howard leads the NFL in interceptions with eight and is a legitimate NFL Defensive Player of the Year candidate. Pass-rusher Emmanuel Ogbah is having a Pro Bowl-caliber season.
