Jayme Gershen and Edson Jean New Features at Miami Film Festival 2021

Miami artist Jayme Gershen is having her moment. After five years of hard work, she completed her first feature documentary,
Birthright, just in time for its premiere as the closing film at Miami Dade College’s 38th-annual Miami Film Festival (MFF) next month. The film follows local electro-pop act Afrobeta as the duo embarks on a journey to perform in Cuba, the homeland of members Cuci Amador's and Tony Smurphio's parents.
Gershen met the pair while hosting a concert series. When the musicians mentioned their plans to play in Cuba, Gershen asked to film the process. The result is a thoughtful documentary that explores the complexities of Cuban-American perceptions of home.

this is why you don't speak to law enforcement. to go to law enforcement and say you know what happened, my husband had a heart attack, he fell down the stairs. she found him in the bed which means after his heart attack and falling down the stairs where he cut his head, he managed to get back up, walk back up the steps and get into bed where he was found the that is ludicrous. by the way --. >>shepard: well, don't bring "ludi" into this. >>randy: even ludi would say this is ludicrous. i was involved in a well-known case, you break a mug and it creates a cut so she, right now, has killed herself. i can't wait to see her alibi notice because when she lets law enforcement know this is where she was they will check. >>guest: i imagine they already have he was killed in april of 2012. she said she was refereeing an
