There are growing calls for a humanitarian pause in the fighting between israel and hamas, so that more aid can be allowed into gaza. The un agency for Palestinian Refugees has warned its shelters in the gaza strip are overwhelmed with displaced people. It says the facilities are now holding 600,000 palestinians, which is four times their capacity.
